As a result of PCI Compliance, which is required by all major credit cards to reduce credit card fraud, we do not receive any credit card information from the credit card companies - except the amount that you have authorized for payment for your order and the authorization code for the payment.

Since we don't have any payment information for you, we can capture a charge for your order only once. The credit card companies will not allow us to charge for one part of an order at one time and another part of an order at another time. So, we have the choice of processing payment for the full amount of your order and running a backorder for you that will be filled and shipped to you as soon as possible OR we can charge the amount for the first part of the shipment and cancel everything else. Since we rarely have backorders that last more than a week or so, most of our customers would rather we keep the backorder on file and send backordered items on as quickly as possible.

Since we've been in business (May, 2000), we have never cheated a customer and we're not going to start now. If you want your backorders cancelled, we can do that for you. Just let us know. Be sure to check the Terms and Conditions for information on cancelling backorders (under Returns Policy). Here is a link for you: http://www.discountembroiderysupply.com/conditions-of-use.

Also, please be wary of companies that do have the ability to process multiple charges on one payment authorization. This means they ARE receiving your credit card number, expiration date, card verification number, name and address. Even huge companies like Home Depot, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Target can't secure credit card information, so why would you expect a small company who does receive this information to be able to keep it safe? We leave the details of security to companies specifically designed to safeguard your information. They have never been breached and constantly monitor and control access to your information.

We tried to explain all this the Terms and Conditiions you agreed to when you placed your order. It is a complex subject, though, that most people and many businesses know nothing about. Penalties for non-compliance with PCI start at $5000 per month which would be disastrous for us. If you have more questions about PCI compliance, you'll find tons of information if you Google it.

Rest assured, we take security very seriously and are willing to deal with the extra work to be PCI Compliant. We are audited annually and have always passed with flying colors!
